OPENING PORTLIGHTS

Custom made opening ports were the obscene in price. I think Ill take the easy way out, and install an opening hatch in the cabin top...just back of the mast step. This should provide some fresh air into the main cabin, especially arround the table. The only time it won't help is when we are in our slip, as we face north/south and the prevailing winds are from the west. Otherwise at anhor or underway we will be into the wind and the hatch should catch lots of air.

Does anyone know of a way I can take the older window frames on a 38 and have them reanodized and or powder coated so it doesn't have that plain aluminum look.

I don't know about getting them redone but I puchased four new windows with power coated aluminum frames from a local shop (lower mainland, BC) for around CND$150.00 ea. They look real good and are a lot more substantial then the original ones.
