C&C 33 Foot

I'm selling my C&C 26, Celerity. Anyone know how the 33's are? Which is better, smaller/newer, vs. larger/older?
Bill.

We love our 1985 33MkII: our first boat was a 1979 C&C30, but the 33 has significantly more room, and came with lines led aft and roller furling, both of which were and are very appealing. We race in club races, but without hi-tech (read expensive) sails, can't sail to the PHRF rating, in most winds. Nevertheless, we always have good fun, and learn lots. The boat is, to my mind, ideal for Great Lakes cruising -not so big that it's work to sail, and not so small that it can't handle foul weather adeptly.
Newer/smaller? - depends how much you like to putter around the boat - the older the boat, the more projects seem to surface, and I find that side of boat ownership attractive. Older means more boat for the same money, of course.
Let us know how you do.

I have a 1976 33 (I guess that would make it a MkI). I've just completed my first season of ownership and I think it is a great boat. I moved up from an Ericson 27, and the C&C is much more boat. I sail it on Lake Erie and feel that it is a great size for the type of boating we do (day sailing, some weekend cruising, may do some club racing next season). The boat is large enough to be comfortable with five adults on board, but I have no problems single-handing her.
Good Luck, - Dennis
