Owner's Review for the 1990 C&C 30+
Tall double spreader rigged racer cruiser with rear double cabin and head interior. Fast cruiser that can keep pace with 36 footers. Keel has wing set 6" up from bottom so draft remains constant when heeled, wing can't dig in if grounded. Deep sump, so heeled boat doesn't spread water under bearths. Boat best sailed with 18 to 20 degrees heel, 4 degrees rudder. Fine airfoils (keel & rudder) will lift boat to windward, much to distress of other boats in the fleet. Will carry #2 genoa to 20+ knots with no swweat if mail, genoa trimmed properly. Get Harken windward car to complement bridge deck traveller. Also good to upgrade genoa cars to allow trimming under load. Boats surfs easily downwind.
Interior comfortable at dockside or under sail. Many handholds overhead for easy fore and aft movement. Aft head is great for quick stops from cockpit, also contains wet locker. Aft cabin spacious for two, Vee berth tight because of fine entry. Aft cabin and starboard setee great sea berths. Galley has good layout, big, well insulated icebox. Boat well made, great design. It inspires confidence. I've raced in 28+ true, cruised at about the same. boat has easy motion, punches through waves.
