Owner's Review for the 1982 C&C 27 Mk4

The Mark 4 is a big improvement over the earlier marks of the 27. Cleaner decks, better hull resistance to osmosis, better deck seals (no soft decks), and a standard Yanmar 2GM diesel engine. The diesel gives a 400 mile range. The bow roller and huge forward anchor locker allow serious anchoring to be done, and the set back forestay (4") eases crowding at the bow. The Mark 4 is a modern, clean version of the popular C&C 27. Items like a breaker panel, rather than fuses, a foot pump for the sink, better battery placement, wheel steering, more storage below, etc all ad up to a great fun boat. With only 56 made, they are hard to find for sale, and draw a premium price which is well worth it. A pleasure to sail, a winner when racing, and a great cruising boat for a couple or small family.
